Zenko’s manufacturer of official protective uniforms, the company “Zenko”, has focused its entire production program on the production of protective masks for the domestic market – said the owner of that company, Fahrudin Cancar, to Fena.

Zenko has for many years equipped its police, border guards, medics … Austria, Switzerland, Germany and some other European countries with its uniforms, but the coronavirus pandemic demanded that they reorient themselves on the move and use the remaining material to help BiH. to the people in the fight against coronaviruses.

There is huge demand and our capacity is five to 6,000 masks a day. So far, we have managed to sew them about 50,000, and we have materials for another 500,0000 pieces, or about ten days of work. The price of materials is increasing every day, but the need for our masks will probably cease by then – Cancar hopes.

He points out that their masks are reusable, multi-layered and need to be washed before use.

The masks are cotton, made of undershirts, T-shirts, bedding … They are sterilized by ironing, and can be washed at temperatures up to 90 degrees Celsius and used for many months. We make one-layer, two-layer and three-layer, which depends on their price, which ranges from 0.90 to 1.90 KM – says Cancar.

He also states that they donated part of their masks.

They call us from Herzegovina, Sarajevo, Republika Srpska… Of course, most of them were marketed by pharmacies in Zenica and ZDK, but also by ministries. Unfortunately, we cannot respond to all requests from other cities – he points out.

The company, he notes, as well as other BiH companies, faces difficult exports of finished products.

We sent one truckload of goods to Switzerland, but to be honest, we don’t even know how far it came. I guess they will arrive at their destination soon – adds Cancar.
